Based on my testing the difference is not because I am somehow using different SSL certificates.
My site is https, if that matters.
My first thought was that the browser is caching the data sent over https, but the reason that I would assume the content would vary by browser is that it’s not possible to determine what data the browser cached until it’s been delivered. If that were the case wouldn’t the browser get the data the first time and never cache it ever again? This seems unlikely.
It’s not like my site changes that much content every day. So my question is, is it possible for the browser to cache the encrypted password used to authenticate a connection?
