In another review in Information Today, the reviewer stated that “AutoCAD is a well-rounded CAD/CAM system which can serve the needs of most CAD users.”

In PC World, a review in 1997 stated that “AutoCAD is the most convenient, powerful, feature-rich CAD system on the market.” The reviewer further remarked that “AutoCAD is a rich, sophisticated package that offers the best combination of tools, features, and user interface of any system of its type.”

In its review of the program, Computer Shopper in 1997 said that “AutoCAD ’97 is loaded with the bells and whistles.”
