I can see the files appearing when I use the stdout option. I found this solution on GitHub and it worked for me but I am not sure that I want to use the GitHub username as the file to be dropped. How do I point to the file to be dropped?
A:
In the command line, you can specify multiple files as arguments. The easiest way to do that would be to make an array of the filenames (one per line):
for i in “”; done
If that doesn’t work, try single quotes, either single or double:
for i in ‘ “”; done
for i in ”; done
if that doesn’t work, try escaping the characters, but you must escape the’and the “‘; done
for i in ‘”‘; done
for i in ‘”‘; done
Note that you need quotes around the filenames and the contents of the filenames and the destination, because otherwise these constructs are interpreted literally. This works for me:
for i in ; do cp ” > /dev/null; done
With the double quotes, both filenames and the destination are treated as strings, and then you have to escape the . Finally, you can use to omit the first word of your command, which is common for scripts.

The questions are if the following comand is valid:
[Username@Server ~]$ Find / -xdev C:\ -type f | `where {$_ -notmatch “.” -and $_.length -gt 500} `
[Username@Server ~]$
As I am trying to find jahanidanishbookfreedownload.exe file in my host,
‘jahanidanishbookfreedownload.exe’ is not under my C:\ drive. What am I doing wrong?
I run the above command in “cmd” command promtp as a Administrator.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in Advance 🙂

So the short answer is that your command is interpreted as if you have typed the following two lines one after the other:
Find / -xdev C:\ -type f | `where {$_ -notmatch “.” -and $_.length -gt 500} `
jahanidanishbookfreedownload.exe
The problem is that your second line (jahanidanishbookfreedownload.exe) is on a different line.
The problem could be caused by an extra space or a typo you didn’t notice, or many other things. The only way to be sure is to copy and paste your command into an editor and see if it really is what you intended.
Also, it’s good to know where your command is written so you can look out for hidden space characters.
