hide a title in an NSView

I’m totally new to Objective-C, so maybe this is a very easy question. I created an NSWindow with an NSView as the content. The NSView has a title (“Display”). Now I want to hide the title of the view. I tried to assign an NSView an outlet for the title, but the view is not shown at all. This occurs only if the top level view is a view and not an NSView.
I do want to hide the title, though, even if it’s NSView-based, since I have to add the view to other views.
So what am I missing?
