How to drop a function by name?
something like this
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION my_fn() RETURNS TRIGGER AS $$

I need to drop the function after some time.
I tried with DROP_TRIGGER_BY_NAME however it returns an error: ERROR: function my_fn does not exist

Editing menu hierarchies

I’m trying to update the hierarchy of a menu. Originally it was set up as below:

Menu 1

Menu 2

Menu 3

But, after a number of updates the hierarchy is:

Menu 1

Menu 2

Menu 3

Menu 4

Menu 5

Menu 6

Menu 7

Menu 8

Menu 9

However, when I edit the menu tree and do a “merge records” or “split records” on menu 5, I get the following:

Menu 1

Menu 2

Menu 3

Menu 4

Menu 6

Menu 5

Menu 7

Menu 8

Menu 9

This is messed up. I have no idea why it is doing this. I simply want to be able to edit the menu tree as shown in the first image.

A:

It is impossible to move a Menu reference to a sub-menu of another.
For example, if you re-order your main menu to be:
Main
-Menu 1
– -Menu 2
– – -Menu 3
– – – -Menu 4

Then I would be able to re-order my sub-menus as below
Main
-Menu 1
-Menu 2
-Menu 3
-Menu 4

But I cannot move Menu 2 from Main to the top level of your menu structure.
You could try using a Hierarchy to solve your problem, but I’m not sure how else to tackle your problem.
Hierarchy is not exactly the same thing as a menu, though. You may want to look at my answer for more information.
Edit: Another thing you can do is to re-order your menus entirely, including the child menu. In a hierarchy, you could have Main, Other and Main – (Other) but you could also have Main – [other-menu] and Parent – [other-menu].

Then you could edit your hierarchy to be
Main
-Other
-Main – Other

Now if you want to move Other down under
