Thoughtful, thoughtful people have been beating up on Minnesota Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau for a while now, doubting him and wanting him gone. That said, it’s entirely possible they “care” about Thibodeau’s job and are just trying to get a head start on the inevitable story line and speculation. Either way, there will be a story to write, whether for good reason or bad or sometimes not at all.

Shocker, you should be interested. I would be, even if I had a hard time seeing Thibs out of there soon. My assumption is that if they go after an attractive name, it’s because they want to. They aren’t going to lie to their fans and say ‘Yeah it’s time for a change.’ They don’t have to lie to themselves, though, because they’re comfortable with the talent they have, they just think they can do better.
