Description:
When the gods decide to wipe away all human life, they are horribly, hilariously wrong. The human species has survived and prospered to the extent that the humans are now a civilization with a life of their own.
In Avernum, which lies on the seventh island of the Eknaar Archipelago, a group of hunters, treasure seekers, and a few other intrepid souls have seen the coming of the apocalypse and are now holed up in a deep, damp cavern, awaiting the arrival of the end of the world.
But the gods have other plans for the Eknaar Archipelago. Reaching the mainland, they start the long, slow trek towards the human city of Bathymae, where they will start to reshape the world in their own image.
