You can also use the A key to scale or flip images horizontally, and the S key to flip or scale them vertically.

You can also create free-form selections by pressing Shift and pressing the mouse button in the direction you want to drag the selection.

Sometimes you need to erase a selected area of an image. To do this, click Eraser Brush in the Tools pane.
The Fuzzy Brush can be used to blur the edges of an image. Simply click the Fuzziness tool at the top of the Tools list.
Image Composite Modes allow you to take a color from one part of an image and apply it to another. For example, you may want to add highlights to an image, so you can select a light color from a different part of the photo and place it on the dark colors of the original photo.
To select a color, click Color in the Tools pane. You can choose a particular color, Hue/Saturation, Red, Green or Blue.
Lasso tools make it easy to highlight and modify a selected area of an image. Click the Rectangular or Elliptical tools at the top of the Tools list.
There are a multitude of advanced drawing tools like the Pen, Pencil, and Brush tools.
To draw with the Pencil tool, click the tool in the Tools pane. There are many settings that can be adjusted in the options bar that will change the characteristics of the Pencil.
Select Smooth in the Pencil options to get a softer stroke.
To erase with the Pencil tool, click Eraser in the Tool box. There are many settings that can be adjusted in the options bar that will change the characteristics of the Pencil.
Select Hard or Soft in the Pencil options to get a more or less hard or soft stroke.
Select Extra Smooth for a smoother stroke.
The Pencil tool draws with pressure sensitivity to match the Pressure tool.

Occurrence of carbapenemases in an epidemic spread of Klebsiella oxytoca carbapenem resistant strains in a university hospital.
We report the unusual occurrence of a Klebsiella oxytoca carrying NDM-1 carbapenemase in a newborn intensive care unit in Spain. A clonal spread of this carbapenem resistant (CR) organism was detected by PFGE in the same newborn care unit. In addition, another K. oxytoca carrying NDM-1 carbapenemase was identified in the hospital unit where this patient was hospitalized. The PFGE patterns were clustered on the same clonal group as the K. oxytoca isolates found in the newborn. Further characterization and susceptibility data of the strains evidenced that the isolates were NDM-1 carbapenemase-positive strains. The patient was treated with two different carbapenems that allowed full recovery and discharged from the hospital. The other hospitalized newborn patient remained with CR K. oxytoca infection that, although being also resistant to levofloxacin, had a favorable outcome and was discharged from the hospital after a prolonged hospitalization period. This is the first reported case of an epidemic outbreak of NDM-1-carbapenemase-positive K. oxytoca isolates causing a neonatal infection, and is the first report of two cases of infection caused by a K. oxytoca organism carrying a carbapenemase gene in a hospital of a community in Spain.#pragma once
