“This year he’s spending time with his wife and daughter and especially his grandchildren,” Littlefield said.

Stephanopoulos asked how long Clinton has been “rocking and rolling” with his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“Well, there’s always a period of time, not that long, where he takes it very seriously and he sort of gets to enjoy a period of time where he’s not necessarily doing the activities that a first couple does in their second term,” Littlefield told “Today.”

“Now, this is a time when they’re doing less public events and more private events where he gets to, in a very nice way, enjoy a little separation from the public.”
