Trying to understand these long odds of “double the second”

I was doing my math homework, and I was given this question,

“Double the second” means “Multiply the number by 2, and then divide by 2.”
Select the number that is the closest to the correct answer and double it.
The answer is “44,” but the correct answer is “220.” What is wrong?

So this answer is wrong:
$66/2 = 33$
But this answer is correct:
$33 * 2 = 66$
