  As for the game, it basically is a combination of a sandbox game with the official Elder Scrolls Wiki (if you’re wondering what the official wiki has to do with the game, it’s what you can use for reference as a “PSA” within the game instead of relying on the game’s own dialogue). You can freely play the game alone or with a friend, and the game features 3 main areas each with a different boss to fight. Different maps and instances can be created as well. The sandbox is also extremely versatile; you can fight monsters, open chests, craft items, etc. The game doesn’t actually give you a good incentive to fight the boss that you’re doing your quests for, and ultimately, you’re just doing a job to earn the necessary materials to create new items. It’s pretty repetitive, and the post-game does not feel very rewarding.

  The game’s graphical presentation is excellent; with beautiful lighting, and a variety of different enemies, it’s truly a visual treat. The game looks like it’s ran on the Xbox One X instead of the PS4, and the difference in the controls is night-and-day. In particular, the game has very noticeable lag when aiming, which some people may be accustomed to with games like this. For those who don’t play this game specifically, there’s no point in mentioning the controls because the game looks fine.

  There’s a handful of things to mention, starting with the base concept of the game. You’re an Elden Lord on a quest to retrieve your lost power that was locked away from you by a Tarnished man. It’s a quest that involves the help of a group of four fellow warriors as well as another being known as the True Knight who is charged with the destruction of the Tarnished. The game is set up in a sprawling world between the Silversea and the Elden, and it’s there you must find your lost power.
