I have been using the WD Live Hub and the WD live streamer and the plug-in. I now want to rip my DVDs with some other titles. The following is my first observation on the first debate of the Obama vs. the Republican candidates.
1. I like how Obama was able to take on the moderator when he was asked about his lack of giving any specifics as to what he intended to do in the first three months of his presidency. Obama spoke of the progress his administration had made on reforms, noting that the stimulus package passed had helped create two million jobs, the American auto industry was now profitable for the first time since 2009, and he pointed to his record of closing Gitmo and reducing the number of troops in Iraq. Obama’s resume of what he was doing as president doesn’t come up to the requirements outlined in debates of other presidential hopefuls.
2. Ryan needs to be careful because he has already been tagged by Romney and others as a Republican who will “trick” the conservatives so they vote for him. It might have worked when he first entered the race but I don’t think it will work now that he is the nominal GOP nominee.
3. It’s nice to see debate moderator Candy Crowley act as an equal and be respectful to the candidates as much as the Bush-Cheney administration was toward the candidates. I don’t think she could do any better if the positions were reversed.
