The goal of FTPeek is to help you download files from the FTP server, create a local directory with folders and files inside and edit those files.
It also provides the ability to change transfer limits, cookies, and create FTP accounts for users.
FTPeek’s user interface is similar to FileMaker’s own FTP uploader, allowing you to drag and drop files, folders, and create links.
There are no limits on the amount of files you can upload or download.

FTPS is a newer protocol that may be supported in the future.

FTPeek does not support FTP user accounts, proxy servers, anonymous logins, and anonymous and/or non-standard ports.
FTPeek does not support tunneling.
FTPeek supports Mac OSX and Unix.

FTPeek can be installed on your Mac as either an application bundle or as a stand-alone app.
If you choose to install FTPeek as an application bundle, it must be a FileMaker application file – this means that it must be built in FileMaker Pro Architect v10 or higher.
It’s recommended you don’t build FTPeek as an application – that’s too big and complicates things a bit.
FTPeek as a stand-alone app:

FTPeek can be installed as a stand-alone app and that will allow you to run it outside of FileMaker.
Note, however, if you plan to run FTPeek as a stand-alone app, you’ll need to use a supported FTP server.
If the FTP server you use doesn’t allow for either anonymous login or the standard port used by FTPeek, you will need to change the FTP server settings.
Those settings can be found under General > FTP Options.
If you find yourself needing to adjust the above settings, be sure to not forget to make those changes on any of the virtual machines you are using to run FTPeek.

Creating FTPeek user accounts is easy.
First, you need to login to your FTP server and create an FTP user account.
Once you’ve created the account, copy the FTP user’s username and password.
