This software communicates with the Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 operating systems to allow you to view and modify the print job document properties, modify the Windows printer properties, modify the Novell (NDPS/Bindery/NDS) operators properties, create new printers, queues, or print servers, rename/delete existing ones, create new users and change user permissions, create new queues, etc. It is intended for use with the IBM NCR network printers.
The “Qcontrol” is a standalone software that you will not need to run any additional program and can be used without any dependency on other programs.
Qcontrol does not modify any printer drivers or Novell NDPS or Bindery configuration files. It may still require restarting the service and/or service on the printer to be able to use the installed driver. But this will only cause a short delay. The driver will be restored automatically once the printer has been started up again. “Qcontrol” works in the background while the printer is being monitored. The “Qcontrol” does not affect your ability to print any documents from the printer’s built-in web server.
Qcontrol is capable of being used with both the NT/2000/XP/Vista/7/8 or Windows 98/ME operating systems.
