You cannot write a list to a file like that. It’s not going to be a nice file. You can do what you want by taking your list and converting to a CSV string, and then writing that to the file:

outfile.write(csv.writer(outfile).writerows(lines))

If it were me, I’d put a file list opener on both of those open calls, and omit the closing brackets on the w calls.

You should rearchitecture your application to not use a custom context menu, but rather to build the menu by yourself and use the ContextMenuStrip control to display the menu.

However, there is a connotation between menu items and objects. Menu items are just that, items of the menu. If you want to add an image, then you should create a new context menu item. Same as adding any other item to a menu.
