Many of the downloadable programs mentioned in this section allow you to work with images on your computer, but then the images are copied to the web page where they are displayed. Use only the programs that are designed to work directly with images on your computer.

How to install Photoshop Elements

How to create an Adobe account

You need to create an Adobe account before you can use Photoshop Elements. This is part of Adobe’s subscription service for the software.

You can download Adobe Creative Cloud from the Adobe website for $49 a year and get access to Photoshop Elements, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe Capture and others.

How to add Photoshop Elements to the image editor

Open your image editor, and choose Add from Adobe Photoshop Elements from the menu.

You need to select a folder for the Photoshop Elements installer. If you haven’t set this up yet, go to the folder and create a folder called Photoshop Elements.

How to open an image from Photoshop Elements

You need to open an image to import it into Photoshop Elements.

Click the Share button in Photoshop Elements, then choose Open from Adobe Photoshop Elements.

You can copy files from the cloud directly to your desktop, and you can move files from the desktop to the cloud through the Download Wizard.

Open the screenshot folder in the cloud by clicking Start in Photoshop Elements.

Open an image from the cloud, and Photoshop Elements displays it on screen. You don’t need to save the image first.

How to save an image into Photoshop Elements

You can save your image directly from Photoshop Elements.

Click the Save button in the toolbar at the top of the screen, then select File -> Save As.

You can save an image in any of the file formats supported by Photoshop Elements, including RAW, TIFF, JPEG and others.

# Digital Sketching

One of the advantages of creating your own brushes for Photoshop is you can digitally sketch directly in your image. This involves using the Pen tool which can be used to draw simple lines and create sketches.

– You can change your brush style from time to time by clicking the Brush Style button. The current brush can be selected by clicking on it.


# Developing Your Own Brush Sets

A set of brushes is also known as a _font_. The type of Photoshop brushes that you create defines the line style and brush type. You can use Photoshop’s brushes to create a wide range of specialized brushes that make your digital painting more professional and look more professional.

**Note**: The order of brushes in a brush set are generally important; paint thinner goes first, then painting medium, then paint and finishing with ultralight.

In order to create different brush sets for your projects, you can access the Brush Settings window via the Brush Settings menu at the bottom of the Window menu.


Once open, you can create your own brush sets to be used exclusively within Photoshop. You can save these sets as you would any other Photoshop file. understand the complaint that Posterous is slow. The writing part takes a
second to load but once it does it loads instantly. Their service is a little
buggy but you still have an incredible product that's free and extremely
easy to use.
