Can’t click on the text of a link if it contains a class with javascript in it
I have a strange issue with javascript/jQuery. I’m using Ruby on Rails 4 and jQuery 2.2.1 and I have the following code:

Then in my javascript, I add a class to the link when a certain function is triggered (called’submit_navbar_links’):
.register_navbar_links{:class => “registrations_page”}
and finally, I have a link in the view:

Now, when I use DevTools in my browser (chrome), I realize that the text of the link is clickable if it has the class’registrations_page’. It behaves properly. When I add the class, however, it is not clickable. This is weird and I haven’t encountered this issue before.
What am I doing wrong? Is it a browser bug?

That’s just the way it works. If you set a class on a link, it won’t respond to a click anymore. If you still want to clickable, you need to put an onclick event on it. That way the click will still work, but it won’t trigger the submit_navbar_links.
