concatenation of xaml files as part of GenerateResource call in application.xaml

Having an issue in a WPF app where I have a resourceDictionary (with seperate/different xaml files referenced) that I am generating within the application.xaml file using the following C# code:
public void CreateResources()
{
string root = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath(“~/App_Data/resourceDictionary”);
Dictionary dict = new Dictionary();

dict.Add(Properties.Resources.InvoiceItemList, Properties.Resources.InvoiceItemListXaml);

XamlReader.Load(Properties.Resources.InvoiceItemListXaml, null, dict, true);
}

This code is called from the App_Start event in the global.asax, and then I call the above CreateResources method from my InitializeComponent method in the form that I want to use the xaml. The problem is that the xaml file that I generate is being included in the form that I want to use it, rather than being part of the dicretionary file referenced. This is why I’m getting the error: The resource Dictionaty that I include at the top of my form’s xaml is being used as the key.
So I was just wondering how to be able to call an xaml file from a resources dictionary stored in App_Data/resourceDictionary?

A:

A resource dictionary is just a dictionary – there is nothing special about this (it’s not even XAML!).
So you just need to reference the dictionary and pass the properties you want to use into the dictionary.
Dictionary dict = new Dictionary();
dict.Add(Properties.Resources.InvoiceItemList, Properties.Resources.InvoiceItemListXaml);

XamlReader.Load(Properties.Resources.InvoiceItemListXaml, null, dict, true);

-execute it (ScriptExecute is the only method
that takes this as a parameter, but you could overload all the
other methods and pass a PythonScript instead).
