On a normal weekend, a fisherman by the name of Magrat Garlick was caught in a stormy sea. On his way back home, he was attacked by pirates and drowned. His boat found floating on the water, he had already met his end. His two children, Cedda and Edan Garlick, are here to tell his story. Someone filled the few remaining days of the days of Magrat, a story of love, sailing ships, and pixies.

This is a remake of Myths of the World, a cancelled 2001 game that was a third in the series of the same name. The original game was to have been released on the PC platform in 2002 and to have taken place in the same world with the same characters and villains. The project was scrapped and replaced with a sequel, Myths of the Ancient World.
There are more items to gather than in the other games. Look for pictures, puzzles, and collectibles to help you on your journey to complete all nine hidden object scenes.
Stories, Pixies & Hints
Come along on a fairy tale journey with Shader and Strelka! Meet Magrat Garlick, the evil pirate Grundy and his niece, Loola Pyke. There are many mythological characters to meet, including the crocodile fairy, the snake fairies, the troll fairy and her son, and a few pixie races too. Meet this cast of characters and find out what happened to Magrat! There are also hints to be found in the game.
Can you find all the missing objects? Are you prepared to learn what happened to your grandfather? You’ll need to find everything in order to see what happened and reunite with your family.

  Myths of the World: Of Fiends and Fairies takes place in an alternate world that is becoming less and less connected to our own. While many of our fairy tales have familiar themes and characters, the reality and true nature of these creatures is different. A long time ago, it is said that all fairies have disappeared. That was around when the evil Sorcerers Tumwar and Magbakka started to gather and use their abilities to create monsters and demons to protect themselves. The truth is, you never really know what is real, what is fantasy and what is merely a myth. The faeries, spirits, creatures of light and shadow are all out there, but none are for us humans to know or to trust.

  Gameplay Myths of the World: Of Fiends and Fairies uses a series of short, point and click, non-linear scenarios to progress through. Each scenario has a number of objects that need to be found, then the scenes are introduced to each other as the player moves through the environment. The puzzles range from simple to very challenging and often force the player to use multiple objects to complete one puzzle. This is where the Collectors Edition comes in handy. For example, in the first scenario, we are introduced to Talri, a flying, female faerie. Talri is tasked with finding a number of objects in the scene that relate to her. There are two specific objects in Talri’s home that are keys to a magical door that can bring her to her kids. To find the keys, the player must go through a series of puzzles involving other objects and completing simple action tests.

  The game requires you to use your brain to figure out the objects in the scene, and in some cases, there may be multiple ways to do this. Scattered throughout the game are interactive scenes where the player is presented with a question about the environment. For example, if the player is on a boat, the player is asked where the captain is. If the player is in a forest, the player is asked if they are near a spooky campfire. The Q&A puzzles vary in style and difficulty. Some are based around questions posed in an album, while others are much more narrative and include multiple questions.
