One of the major themes of the game is
‘the Making’ and ‘creativity’. The player’s goal is to scavenge and combine
resources. All tools and food items are’scrapped’ off the level, and the
player will have to combine’spheres’ of existence such as fire or food into
new tools or items.When the player first reaches a new area, they
can either immediately’scout’ the area, or opt to explore randomly. Every
level is unique, and the player will uncover a narrative thread, that will
direct the flow of play and determine the route to the next goal.The Crafting
system, a ‘backpack’ and the ‘inventory’ form a symbolic representation of
the player’s efforts to create.The player’s backpack contains a basic set
of tools and items that cannot be ‘crafting’ with, they are ‘creative’. The
player can combine these tools and items in any way they see fit to form a
new tool, item or sphere.As the game progresses, the player will gain new
crafting spheres, and more creative tools and items, to use, combine or
create. In addition to this, tools will have different health levels and
damage, but as yet there are no gameplay ramifications for failing to craft
with a low-level tool or item. By the end of the game, a player will have
used all of the tools that they found in their scavenging, and will have a
range of more advanced and powerful tools that are more difficult to craft.
Items and objects will also have differing durability levels, as some will
require much more effort to craft. Every item and tool used in play, will
have a health meter, and after a certain level is reached, an item/tool will
be destroyed and become unusable.

From a narrative perspective, there are
lots of narrative and interactive components that are felt.

The environments are always fresh and unique, although themes and
devices will recur throughout. Just because the environment is a dangerous
jungle, doesn’t mean that the player won’t have to perform ‘demining’ for
logs, use a snake to navigate a craggy rock, or possibly gather twigs or
dead twigs to hold onto while scrambling down a steep mountain.

Tools and food items are added/removed from the game world, and
that is entirely player-driven.
