Elden Ring is finally out, and we’re very excited to finally take the plunge. We get to play through our first part of the game, and the first part was certainly a breath of fresh air. This is a game that makes the high expectations for the franchise a reality, and that we had brought to the table. We know that there are plenty of people out there that are going to be coming to this game with fairly high expectations, and we’ve been asked a lot about how we’re going to meet those expectations. Now, with the release of the Elden Ring part one, we think we can finally say that the game is fully ready.

As a quick rundown of what Elden Ring is, it’s kind of like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in terms of the rules. You can choose from a main character class or you can just go to town and customize your character as you see fit. The game world is split into four different locations, each of which are 15-20 missions long and will likely take two or three hours to complete.

There are some characters that we’ve played as and now know a little bit more about them, and it’s very interesting to learn. For example, we’ve talked about how the player character, who we will be calling Leaf, has been through a lot and we’ve heard about his past actions. The thing that we really like is that we are not going to go on a power trip in this game, the reason is that the story is an RPG and it would be a disservice to forget about the background of the characters. It’s all there to be read about and you can really feel the weight of their actions and their history.
