THE NEW FANTASY ACTION RPG.

I would like to start off with telling you that I purchased The New Fantasy Action RPG on the weekend, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. This is my first time reviewing a PC title, so I will try my best to describe what I thought of the game; hopefully what I say will speak to what you all already know about the title.

I really enjoyed the game. It was a great pleasure to play, and I felt like I had never played an action-RPG before. All that being said, the game isn’t perfect, but it’s polished enough to be able to make me overlook it’s flaws. For example, the maps have little to do with the main story, and I would have appreciated having just one main map, as it takes quite some time to make it through. Most of the NPCs and towns could have been easier to navigate, as is the case with most RPGs. I also did not enjoy the constant barrage of bugs that would show up every 2 minutes. These things did not interfere with my enjoyment at all and did not stand out as bad, but they could have been a whole lot better. The game is also very easy to get lost in, and although I enjoyed exploring them, I would have enjoyed more of these interiors.

With all that being said, I still enjoyed the game. The graphics are great, and the combat is just as good, if not better than most other games of this genre. The online is great as well, but doesn’t quite live up to the offline part of the game as of yet. The combat system is easy to pick up, but can be a bit overwhelming at first. The exploration is fun, but can get repetitive. I can say that this game plays a lot like Diablo (2017), and it is totally fine for that. Overall, I am glad that I picked it up, and I plan on picking it up again. Hopefully, I’ll learn to deal with the game a bit better on the next playthrough.
