Steps to Photoshop: Expose a Layer

In this first step, you’ll begin by creating a new Photoshop document or selecting an existing document for editing. You’ll then create a new layer to work on.

To begin, open your image in Photoshop CS6. In the Home workspace, choose Windows > New.

A dialog box opens and lists the five standard Photoshop workspace locations. Your current document will be the default file, but you can move it to any of the other workspaces if you’d like by selecting the workspace location on the list.

You can also use the New dialog box to name your image file.

If you’re creating a new document, click OK to create the document. This opens a small box where you’ll begin working.

Note: If your image is already open, you can use the command ⌘-N (mac) or CTRL-N (pc) to create a new document from any open image.

If you’re using an existing document, click Open to return to your image.

There are other ways to create a new document, but this is the most direct method. You’ll see that the new document opens in your Editor workspace. For more about the different workspace options, read About Workspaces.

To edit an existing file, use Windows > File.

A Windows Explorer window opens, with an icon representing the type of image file on the root directory of your hard drive. The list of your image files appears in the left pane.

Note: If you can’t see the folder list, choose View > Sidebar > Open Folder (Windows) or Show Path (mac).

If you want to open a Photoshop document that you’ve recently opened, choose Open, as shown here. This opens the file in the right pane.

Adjustments: Among the most important new features are the adjustments and filters that let you change the color balance, brightness, contrast, and hue and saturation. The new editing tools include the lasso selection tool, blend modes, canvas adjustments, and healing tools, which are similar to magic wand, healing brush, and clone tools.

Smart Fix: If you have a photo that has a lot of noise (small, unsharpened, or blurry areas in the image) or needs to be sharpened, Adobe has included its excellent new Smart Fix tool. Now, you can easily improve photos in a few clicks.

New Features: Photoshop Elements includes several new features in addition to all the minor updates and improvements. One of these new features is the Quick Fix tool that lets you repair common photo errors and reduce resolution. In addition to repairing errors, it can also reduce resolution.

I am having trouble to import a png from my Objective-C ios project to java.
I have tried a lot of web links but all of them are outdated and don’t work on a Mac.
I just need to create a simple tool to import the image and open it in java. Can someone help me how can I import the png image to java.

When I try to open the png image in java like this

BTW, I advise you to not use the term PNG. It’s a misnomer, it’s not a “PNG”. There is a good reason why not many “PNG” readers support “PNG” images. It’s a 6 bytes header that are not “normal”.
