I am trying to use Javascript/jQuery to position an image a specified number of pixels off the screen’s edge. The idea being the user hovers over the image and the image moves off the page to allow the user to move the mouse over the page.
I have something that seems to work but when I change the margin the image doesn’t shift.

For a screen full of images, I would recommend a different approach:
Get the offsetWidth and offsetHeight of the image, then offset your div by that amount (and reposition your image accordingly):
