This project allows you to remove “orphan” types from the XSD file of an
XSD document. This XSD document may have already been loaded into your
program, or you may be using it as an input file in your own
application.
Description
Orphan types are types declared in a XSD document that are not used
by another type in that document. For example, an “xs:element” type
might declare a “xs:attribute” type, but the “xs:attribute” type does
not use the “xs:element” type. The project reads in the XSD document
and analyzes each type. It then deletes any unused types from that
document.
Installation
Add this project as a dependency to your Java build.
To Run
Execute the following command in the root directory of the project:
java -jar xsd-orphan-remove.jar input.xsd
This command will write the results of the removal to the standard output stream.
