Have you ever encountered a person who is seemingly unconcerned by any form of tragedy? It’s been a while since I’ve been in that situation, but I remember this one time when I was in college, and I’ll never forget what happened.
Let me start by saying that I have always been fascinated by human nature and psychology, so the following is in no way intended to diminish any victims or their family and friends. The following tale involves a young woman named Lynn.
Lynn was a fun-loving, outgoing, and athletic 20 year-old student. She was also promiscuous. Her “closet friends” were appalled. At the same time, she seemed to live a carefree life, and there were very few flaws in her personality. She was in great shape and was very attractive. Her physical attractiveness was the reason she seemed so carefree, and as a result, she had a lot of friends.
Lynn and I were both seniors in college and lived in adjoining dormitories. We’d talk and laugh with each other whenever we saw each other. It wasn’t until her senior year that I really started to get to know her. She’d been staying with a friend of mine, Matt, who had a strong objection to premarital sex.
