Trains – Transrapid and EuroSprinter 1293 LocoThis locomotive model features a steam engine with a tender, caboose and a German railbus Transrapid and EuroSprinter 1293, which will run on the Belgian Railways. If a customer order the model without the Transrapid or the EuroSprinter, the additional locomotive will run on the ÖBB until release. It will be available as a DLC (also for purchase) and as a free update with additional locomotives.The Transrapid 1293 is the fourth and final version of the Transrapid and will replace the three previous models (from 2011, 2010 and 2009). The Transrapid 1293 differs from previous versions in the following ways: Besides the design change from double to single-ended trucks the new model has a new steam engine, new firebox design, the top of the boiler is enlarged and a simplified structure of the drivers cab. The locomotive has a reduced maximum speed of 160 km/h (100 mph) and consumes only 14 m³ of coal per hour.

A total of 15 Transrapid 1293 locos will be delivered to the ÖBB. In addition to the 15 locos, three other vehicles will be added: The first additional train is the EuroSprinter that will run in the ÖBB network for one year. This is the first time in the history of this model series that the Transrapid 1293 loco will be available together with a EuroSprinter.

EuroSprinter 1293 TrailerThe design of the EuroSprinter, named “Drama of the 20th Century”, is intended to be a modernization of the InterCitySprinter from the 1990s and combines the best of the previous InterCitySprinter with new modern design elements. The locomotive has an extremely narrow vehicle frame and the bogie trucks are with a smaller width than that of the older InterCitySprinter and EuroCitySprinter.
