I have almost 12 years of experience in the field of computer vision and machine learning in general. I have got my PhD with honors from a top university. I have a very good GPA score (2.81). I am now working as a postdoc but not sure how long it would take to get a professorship position since the postdoc position is not within my college.

Having a PhD with a masters degree is unlikely to be a problem at all. My experience in a similar situation was that the faculty in my field simply assumed that my PhD experience qualified me to work as a postdoctoral fellow in their lab.
That said, having a PhD with no experience outside of the research field probably will be a problem. I don’t know what your field is but I imagine it is much more common for faculty positions in that field to be for research positions. If that is the case then your best bet is to publish as much as you can while continuing to work.
